The Montreal Canadiens received some very unfortunate news on Monday.
After multiple reports surfaced this morning that forward Alex Galchenyuk had re-injured his knee, the Canadiens confirmed the news via head coach Michel Therrien.
While Therrien did not confirm the nature of the injury, he did informed the media that Galchenyuk would be sidelined and was listed as "day to day." As a result Galchenyuk will miss at least Tuesday's games against the Calgary Flames, how much longer he could be out is anyone's guess as the uHabs have a history of downplaying injuries to their players.
Galchenyuk had played just five games since returning from injury, and this is both a tough and frustrating break for him and his team.
