Report: Habs forward will captain his World Cup team.

A member of the Montreal Canadiens has been named the captain of his Wolrd Cup squad.

The Cezh ice hockey association officially announced on Monday morning that they had selected Habs forward Tomas Plekanec to captain their team at the upcoming World Cup tournament.

This will be the fourth time Plekanec's represents his home country as a captain on the international stage, and undoubtedly it's still a major honor for the player each time he receives the "C."

Plekanec's serves as an assistant captain to Max Pacioretty on the Canadiens NHL roster so he brings a wealth of experienced leadership to the table.
