That's some tough luck.
For the second time this season the New York Islanders have lost the services of defenseman Thomas Hickey.
According to a report from Newsday Hickey has suffered a severe leg injury, believed to be to his left leg, and as a result will miss at least a month of game time due to the injury.
Hickey has been very durable during his time with the Islanders but this season seems to be cursed for him, having previously suffered a broken finger that caused him to miss four games earlier this season.
Hickey had previously missed a total of 7 games during his time with New York.
