Report: Jagr makes huge prediction for Gaudreau's future
KeyStone Press

Following a convincing victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night, Calgary Flames forward Jaromir Jagr offered a huge compliment to fellow teammate Johnny Gaudreau.

The two connected on a play that led to Jagr scoring his first goal in a Flames uniform.

Gaudreau, meanwhile, has his 22nd point of the season and sits in the NHL's scoring race, behind Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. It'll be hard to surpass those two if they keep their pace throughout the year, but that doesn't take away from how dominant Gaudreau has been.

He's become a true two-way force, making solid defensive plays and contributing offensively at an elite rate.

Jagr's prediction on Gaudreau's future is a huge compliment - when a legend who's played with and against the best players hockey has to offer, you listen when he makes bold statements such as this.

While Gaudreau's previous season marked a dip in production - with only 61 points compared to the previous year's 78, he is now on pace for over 112 points. It's very unlikely he keeps this torrid pace through 82 games, but it's feasible to imagine he gets close to the 90 point mark this year.
