In a major surprise twist it appears that one of the favorites to land top college prospect Jimmy Vesey may have been ruled out of contention entirely.
According to a report from CSNNE's Jimmy Murphy, a source close to the play has informed him that the Boston Bruins are now at best a long shot to acquire the young forward because of concerns he has about playing in Boston.
"Boston a longshot," said the source as per Muprhy. "Boston kids generally don't do well back home & he is acutely aware of that."
Vesey has spent the last several season playing hockey for Harvaard University, and as a result the Bruins were considered to be among the heavy favorites to acquire the Hobey Baker winner, but unfortunately for fans in Boston that no seems unlikely.
