The decision that just about every Chicago Blackhawks fan was hoping for from Joel Quenneville seems to have finally arrived. On Monday the Hawks Head Coach made it crystal clear he was going with Scott Darling in nets for what would likely be the remainder of the series, potentially even the entire playoffs if he maintains his level of play.

“It’s tough to make a change when you like everything about the game,” said Quenneville.  “He played so well. Very deserving.

“I think it was an easy choice.”

Keep in mind Quenneville had previously stated that sticking with Crawford was the easy choice. However Crawford has had some major struggles, and Darling has been arguably the very best goaltender thus far in the post season and that seems to have changed Quenneville's mindset. Darling has posted a .975 save percentage and an unprecedented goals against average of below 1.00. It's an incredible redemption story for Darling, one fans in Chicago will be more than happy tp ride all the way to a Stanley Cup Championship.
