An Arizona bankruptcy judge has ruled against the NHL today in their pursuit of a reported $145 million dollars in damages from former Phoenix Coyotes owner Jerry Moyes. While the ruling is only a recommendation there is no question that this is a huge blow to the NHL's attempts to recover what they feel is owed to them. David Shoalts of The Globe and Mail was the first to report the ruling today a ruling that the NHL has viewed to fight. Deputy commissioner Bill Daly went on record almost immediately after the report was made public and stated that the NHL "looks forward to appealing all aspects" of the ruling put forth by Judge Redfield T.
