Oh man… if Kopi goes down along with Carter, it may be too much for this team.

Report: Kopitar confirms concussion speculation
Keystone Press

According to a report from Fox Sports reporter Jon Rosen, Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar was in fact removed from last night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks by the NHL’s concussion spotter.

Kopitar collided with Ducks defenseman Brandon Montour and appeared to be shaken up on the play. Thankfully though, a concussion was ruled out and Kopitar returned.

This is obviously excellent news for both Kopitar and the Kings. If the big man had gotten clipped and needed some time off, the Kings would be hard pressed to generate offense with both him, Jeff Carter and Marian Gaborik out of the lineup.

Crisis averted.
