The 2017-18 season is well underway but veteran defenseman Niklas Kronwall has yet to jump on the ice with his teammates for his first of the campaign. However, things might change for tonight's matchup against the Arizona Coyotes.
Kronwall originally sustained a groin injury on Sept. 30 that has kept him out of action since then. The 36-year-old is hoping for a return tonight.
After suffering knee injuries that limited him to 57 and 64 games the last two seasons, Detroit wants to make sure Kronwall is fully healthy before bringing him back in the fold.
Kronwall will surely look to bounce back from last season's career-low 13 points.
