Report: Leafs add Robidas to front office
Keystone Press

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they’ve hired former NHL defenceman Stephane Robidas as Assistant Director of Player Development. The hiring announcement also names former McGill University coach Jack Han as the team’s new Player Development Analyst.

Robidas is a veteran of 937 career NHL games and played for five teams in his 15-year career including a brief stint with the Leafs most recently. The 40-year-old managed only 52 games with the Leafs in the 2014-15 season and had to effectively shut down his NHL career due to chronic knee injuries.

He joined the team's front office last season as a consultant where he worked mainly with the team's AHL affiliate the Toronto Marlies and with some of the team's NCAA prospects. In his new role with the Leafs, Robidas is expected to have a more hands-on impact with the team's young players and will likely be on the ice at the team's practice facility in Etobicoke, Ontario.
