Report: Leafs defenseman placed on injured reserve, replacement expected.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost one of their veterans for an undetermined period of time.

According to a report from TSN's James Mirtle, defenseman Matt Hunwick has been placed on injured reserve, the rest of the information around this injury is currently unclear but we did get some informed speculation from Mirtle.

He reports that Hunwick was spotted leaving practice early at one point, and there is a possibility that was when the injury took place, furthermore it sounds like Josh Levio is a safe guess as to whom will be the man called upon to replace Hunwick.

We still don't know the nature of the 31 year old defenseman's injury, but should more information be made available we will bring it to you.
