According to a report from TSN’s Kristen Shilton, the Toronto Maple Leafs will dress forward Eric Fehr, rookie defenseman Andreas Borgman and goaltender Curtis McElhinney for tonight’s contest against the Detroit Red Wings.

The decision to go with McElhinney in goal isn’t a surprise, seeing as how starter Frederik Anderson played all 60 minutes in a shutout win over the Washington Capitals yesterday evening. The veteran goaltender looked rock solid in the preseason and is due to make his first start of the season tonight against the Wings. He went 6-7-0 in 14 games for the Leafs last season after being claimed off of waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Fehr, a 32-year-old veteran, is expected to slot into the team’s 4th line center position for Dominic Moore. The big forward has played three games for the Leafs this season, going pointless along the way.

Bergman is perhaps the most intriguing of the Leafs’ additions tonight. The 22-year-old rookie has looked steady in four games, picking up an assist and adding four penalty minutes. If coach Mike Babcock practices patience with the young Swede, they could have another Nikita Zaitsev on their hands with Borgman.

The puck drops at 7:30 from the ACC. It’s gameday, Leafs fans!
