Report: Leafs place 6 players on waivers, including offensive former first round pick
Any surprises?

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced several cuts today - six of which will have to clear waivers to report to the Toronto Marlies.
None of these players were expected to make the team, and as it is with all teams, Leafs management was forced to make decisions which could bite them down the road.
Former first round pick Kerby Rychel, who let the Marlies in scoring last season, will have to clear the waiver wire and there's a strong possibility that a GM takes a flyer on the kid. Going on 23 years old, Rychel still has a chance to be a decent offensive player in the NHL.
