Report: Malkin's agent responds to trade rumors.

For some time now rumors have swirled regarding the possibility of a trade that would send Pittsburgh Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin to another franchise. Those rumors gained a lot of credibility earlier today when comments made by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet were widely reported. Since then Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has had the oppurtunity to catch up with Malkin's agent JP Barry and here's what he had to say.

"I don't know where this is coming from. Not from me or Geno. I'm trying to ignore it."

Of course this is exactly what Malkin's agent would say regardless of whether or not there was any discontent in Pittsburgh so now we will simply have to wait and see what comes next. Image courtesy Key Stone Press
