Matt Duchene is probably the name we have heard the most over the past few months, probably because he has been on the trading block for just as long. The 26-year-old has decided to adress the numerous trade rumors that have been circulating for weeks, once and for all.

In an interview with TSN, he was asked whether the speculation affected his offseason preparation. Here is what he said:

“Yes and no. I think right now I’m pretty relaxed, I know whatever’s going to happen is gonna happen. I don’t really have control of it and I’m just worried about being at the top of my game and kind of getting to where I was kind of the first half of last season, before everything kind of fell apart everybody in Colorado. I feel good right now, probably as good as I felt at any point during the year.

“It is what it is and let it happen. “

TSN also reports that the New York Islanders, Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators officially submitted trade offers for him. General manager Joe Sakic obviously thought trading his first center was not worth it.

Duchene played 77 games last season with the Avs, recording 18 goals and 23 assists for 41 points. This was his worst production since 2011-12, when he registered 28 points in 58 games.
