Some sad news to report on Monday.

According to a report from Mlive.com legendary college coach Ron Swanson has passed away, Michigan State has reportedly confirmed the announcement, and this time no cause of death has been made public. 

Ron Mason, who won a national championship for Michigan State and retired as the winningest coach in college hockey history, has passed away, the school confirmed Monday. He was 76.

During his tenure as a head coach Swanson would oversee the development of a whopping 50 future National Hockey League players, and would go on to bring a National Championship to Michigan State.
