Report: Montreal Canadiens' owner hints at possible blockbuster deals
Keystone Press

Even though the Montreal Canadiens were able to snap a three-game losing streak today at the Bell Center against the Anaheim Ducks, they're still ranked 28th in the NHL and will most likely miss the playoffs. And now that the trade deadline is just over three weeks away, many people are wondering what is going to be GM Marc Bergevin's plan for this very important day.

Boston Bruins' insider Jimmy Murphy gave us a pretty good idea of what it's going to look like. He reported on his Twitter account that Habs' owner Geoff Molson is openly talking about a rebuild, and that he wouldn't mind trading his star players if the price is right:

He also added that Molson, who also acts as President of hockey operations, could be looking to add somebody to replace him:

This doesn't really come as a surprise considering there's been a LOT of talk surrounding the Montreal Canadiens this season. They've been involved in trade speculation for months, and with the horrid start to their season, it appears the team's ownership wants a major shakeup.

The next few months are going to be extremely interesting for Habs' fans.
