Report: More bad news for Bjork and Marchand
Keystone Press

The Boston Bruins have been RAVAGED by injury this season. And you know the old saying, “when it rains, it pours?” Well expect a deluge this week as forwards Anders Bjork and Brad Marchand have both been officially ruled out of the team’s next two road games in California.

According to a report from NBC Sports’ Joe Haggerty, head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Bjork and Marchand will be unavailable for the Bruins’ games against the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks.

With Bjork, Marchand and center David Krejci all on the shelf, the Bruins have exactly half of their expected top-six contributors in the lineup. This means youngsters like Jake DeBrusk, Sean Kuraly, Jordan Szwarz, Danton Heinen, Kenny Agostino and Peter Cehlarik are all playing more minutes than they’re capable of at this point in their careers. The results are… about as you’d expect. The B’s have lost four in a row and have only two wins in their last nine games. Something’s gotta give in Beantown.
