Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz gave an update on TJ Oshie status for the next games. We already knew that Oshie would miss tonight's game against the Colorado Avalanche, but we now know that he will not be travelling with the team for Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins. Trotz added that Oshie is expected to skate on Friday, and that there's a possibility that he could play on Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Oshie has been out of the lineup since December fourth with an upper-body injury. Prior to his injury, he has produced 23 points in 28 games. Drafted 24th overall by the St.Louis Blues in 2005, the 30-year old forward was acquired via trade by the Capitals in 2015. In 619 games played in the NHL with the Blues and the Capitals, he registered 440 points. The Everett, Washington native added 31 points in 55 playoff games.
