It's been a tough year already for Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman andon Friday Wideman was given another devastating piece of news.
According to a report from the Calgary Flames Dennis Wideman has suffered a triceps injury, one that will end what has to be considered the worst season of his professional career. Wideman was just in his third game back from a 20 game suspension, reduced to 10 by a neutral arbitrator, when he suffered the injury during an awkward fall he suffered after tripping over a teammate following a goal.
It's unclear at this time how bad the injury is, Wideman could be out for much longer if the injury will require surgery, but whether or not that will be the case is still unknown. What we do know for a certainty is the fact that Wideman will not play another game in the National Hockey League this season.
