This makes a lot of sense.
Since it's inception, there has been a great deal of controversy around the offside challenge, and the National Hockey League may have a unique way of ad addressing it.
Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the NHL is now looking to implement a rule that would award "bad" challenges with a minor penalty and a 2 min disadvantage.
This is obviously meant to deter coaches from challenging for the sake of challenging, and it will be interesting to see if the League does implement it.
