He's coming off a big year.
When you're a budget team in a very competitive National Hockey League you sometimes have to get creative to build the best possible roster.
The Winnipeg Jets have reached out all the way to Austria in the hopes of bolstering their roster for next season by welcoming Thomas Raffl on a Proffesional Try-Out agreement.
Raffl who has spent the last several seasons of his career with Salzburg EC of the Austrian League is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, having recorded 53 points in just 52 games.
How well he can adapt to the NHL game will likely determine how likely he is to find a spot on the Winnipeg roster.
