Should the NHL break tradition and rename the prestigious award?
The NHL is facing serious pressure to change the name of one of it's historic awards, and the pressure is coming from the group the award was created for.
A recent report from Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports has revealed that the NHL coaches' association wants to rename the Jack Adams Trophy, the trophy is awarded to the league's coach of the year, each year in the National Hockey League.
According to Lavoie the coaches' association wants the trophy renamed in honor of legendary NHL coach Scotty Bowman, and has suggested the Jack Adams' awarded could instead be used to honor the NHL's general manager of the year.
