Is this where he's heading?

While we're still awaiting the decision on future Hall of Fame forward Patrick Kane on where he'll be playing this season, it sounds as though he's narrowed down his choice to a pair of teams, and one former rival appears to be the front runner.
According to NHL Insider Elliott Friedman, Kane is "definitely" considering inking with the Detroit Red Wings, whom he spent years terrorizing as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Friedman had the following to say:
“There’s a lot of people who seem to think that he’s if not leaning that way, he’s definitely, strongly considering Detroit," he said. "I can’t say 100 percent, but there’s definitely a lot of noise out there."
The fact that the Red Wings now have Kane's former teammate in Alex DeBrincat is part of the lure of Detroit for him. As you remember, Kane had incredible chemistry playing with DeBrincat in Chicago.
One of the best American-born players in NHL history, Kane has appeared in a total of 1,180 NHL games and has scored 451 goals with 786 assists; he's also scored 53 goals and 85 assists in 143 postseason games, helping the Blackhawks to three separate Stanley Cup championship wins.
