The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Dominik Uher to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford. The deal is a two-way contract that carries an average annual value of $575,000 at the NHL level. Uher, 22, has spent most of the past three years playing in the American Hockey League for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh on Dec. 23 of this past season against Tampa Bay, and played in two NHL games with the Penguins.Uher is a career AHLer and it's expected he will spend the vast majority of his season with the AHL Penguins this upcoming season as well.
