How’s this for a feel good summer story? While kicking back and enjoying the offseason in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender learned about a local boy named Gavin Currie who was raising funds for the local Humane Society by selling ice cold lemonade. Being a supporter of the charity himself and seeing as how the boy was a huge Penguins fan and a goaltender himself, Murray decided to pay the youngster a surprise visit.

Check it out:

How sweet is that? Not only did Murray make this kid’s day by showing up and donating to his fund, but he also signed a goalie stick for him to boot! What a class act. Even more classy? The youngster who took time out of his summer vacation to work in the sweltering heat just to raise a few bucks for a local charity. You’re the real hero, Gavin!
