As reported by Sportsnet insider Eric Engels, Montreal Canadiens rookie defenseman Victor Mete's ice time has taken a significant drop lately, and tonight's game against the Vegas Golden Knights is no different. Engels believes that this could mean a possible return in the juniors for Mete.
As Engels reported on Twitter, Mete's icetime hasn't increase tonight, even with his team leading on the scoresheet.
After two periods, Mete was on the ice for only 6:14, which is a lot less then other Canadiens defensemen (Weber has 13:11 TOI and Jordie Benn has 14:52).
Mete did registered a point on Montreal's second goal. Do you think he deserves more ice time, especially when the team is leading?
Montreal leads 3-1 with 20 minutes left to play at the Bell Centre.
