Probably not the way Rangers forward Rick Nash wanted to score his first goal of the season, but he'll take it.
Nash, who has struggled to start the season, was awarded the goal despite never putting the puck in the net and ended his drought. Nash was given a goal when a hooking play prevented him from scoring what was almost a certain goal on an empty net.
The referee blew the whistle for the penalty, and showed no hesitation at all in awarding Nash the goal, it was inarguably the right call to make.
