Report: Sabres demote young prospect to the AHL

The Buffalo Sabres assigned forward Justin Bailey to the Rochester Americans (AHL) the team announced on Monday. He played seven games with the Sabres so far this season, registering three points.


Bailey, 22, was drafted 52nd overall by the Sabres in 2013. In 47 games played at the NHL level, the Buffalo native registered seven points. He also scored two goals in three games with the Americans this season.

In 125 games played at the AHL level, Bailey registered 83 points. 

The Sabres will play their next game tomorrow, as they'll face the defending back-to-back Stanley Cup champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
