Report: Sharks suspect the worst for Vlasic

Oh no… just when this team is starting to turn things around.

San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic left last night’s 4-1 victory of the Nashville Predators after taking a nasty hit to the head from Preds forward Ryan Johansen.

Check it out:

Ouch… that’s not good. Vlasic came up woozy, left the game and didn’t return. Sharks reporter Kevin Kurz attempted to get an update from head coach Peter DeBoer after the game, but was stonewalled:

No matter how you look at it, this is awful for Vlasic and the Sharks. Outside of Brent Burns, there’s maybe no one on the team’s roster with as much of an on-ice impact than Vlasic. The steady, defensive defenseman plays in all situations with the team and is perhaps their biggest unsung hero.

More to come on this story as it develops.
