Another day, another Sidney Crosby sighting at Penguins practice.

The Pittsburgh Penguins' captain has been out of his team's lineup since before the February Olympic break after suffering an injury for Team Canada in their quarter-final matchup against Czechia.

Crosby joined the team for practice this past weekend, but wasn't participating in full-speed drills with his teammates. Today that, that appeared to change as Sid the Kid was flying out there ahead of the Penguins' game this evening against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Crosby has been ruled out for tonight's game, but don't be surprised if he suits up as early as this weekend. There are unverified reports that Crosby is weeks ahead of his expected recovery time and that he wants to get in some playing time ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs a month from now.

The Penguins are pretty secure in their playoff spot with the Blue Jackets four points back of them, but you just know that Crosby wants to get on the ice and get his team focused for a stellar run at the Cup.

Stay tuned.
