Report: Someone inquired about James Van Riemsdyk!

According to one of the best in the business, Darren Dreger, someone inquired about the Toronto Maple Leafs forward James Van Riemsdyk. Van Riemsdyk is carrying a $4.250.000 cap hit and has a modified no-trade clause. The Leafs forward can prevent a move to ten clubs of his choosing.

Apparently, his secret admirer wouldn't be on James' list and so a deal could occur. Who is it? Dregger didn't want to say but it is believed the Leafs would ask for a top-4 defenceman around the same age in return.

In 37 games, Van Riemsdyk scored 13 goals and added 15 helpers for 28 points.
