According to a report from online tabloid TMZ, former NHL goaltender and Stanley Cup champion Ray Emery has been arrested for assault with a weapon for a 2016 incident involving then-fiancee Keshia Chante.

Chante, a pop singer and TV host, is also reportedly seeking a restraining order against the 35-year-old former NHLer. According to TMZ Emery was arrested September 18th, in Hamilton and officially charged with assault with a weapon and uttering a threat. He was released on bail and will face a court date later this month.

Hockey fans will remember Emery most as a member of the Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks, the latter of which he won a Stanley Cup championship with in 2013. The veteran goaltender played 287 games with the Sens, Hawks, Philadelphia Flyers and Anaheim Ducks, earning 145 wins and 16 shutouts.
