Report: Stars’ Hitchcock makes surprising comments about Canucks
The legendary coach doesn’t offer up these sort of words too often…

Following last night’s 2-1 victory for the Dallas Stars over the Vancouver Canucks, Stars’ head coach Ken Hitchcock had some encouraging words for the Vancouver faithful:
Pretty big compliment, indeed! While Hitchcock may not be the most popular personality around the NHL, there’s no denying his pedigree as a coach. He’s a Stanley Cup champion and one of the most respected individuals in the game over the past three decades. For him to offer up those kind of words is rare and something special.
As for the Canucks, they peppered Stars goaltender Ben Bishop but could only muster one goal past the giant netminder. Head coach Travis Green certainly has the team playing with more structure than former coach Willie Desjardins had and the results are showing on ice. Through 11 games the Canucks have surprised many experts with a 6 -3-2 record. Is a playoff berth out of the realm of possibility?
