According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, Steve Yzerman knows exactly what he wants.
For example, Garrioch wrote that the Ottawa Senators would have to give 2 top prospects for the disgruntled winger. One of those prospect is defenseman Thomas Chabot, who is currently playing with the St-John's Sea Dogs, where he scored 25 points in 28 games in the QMJHL so far this season.
Yzerman wants at least one round defenseman that wouldn't cost him too much money since the Lightning his right at the top of their salary cap.
TSN's Darren Dreger mentioned last week that Yzerman wanted any team in the Eastern conference, especially in the atlantic division, that wants Drouin to pay a premium and that would be another top prospect.
Although it looks a bit too much for Jonathan Drouin, the main belief is that Yzerman would trade Drouin for a young defenseman if a Western conference team came up with the right offer.
