Patrick Kane refuses to take the rest of the playoffs lightly. After the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Final on Saturday night, Kane preached caution as the job is far from finished. “We haven't done anything yet,” Kane told reporters after the Blackhawks advanced to the Stanley Cup Final and overcame a 3-2 series deficit. “But it's a great step.” Kane also spoke extremely highly of his captain Jonathan Toews, who scored twice in the opening frame. "It speaks volumes about the character in this room, and the leadership, starting with the captain,” Kane said. “You get two goals (from him) right away. It's pretty remarkable how he shows up in these games, and seems to come through time after time.” Head coach Joel Quenneville, a veteran of 18 seasons as a head coach and 13 years as a player - said the series was the most difficult one he has been involved in. "This series was the most competitive one I've ever participated in," Quenneville said. "We had to earn everything we got." This team is a new kind of monster once the postseason starts, something Toews is all too aware of. “We don't need to go on a long stretch of wins and win the Presidents' Trophy and have the regular season of our lives to have the confidence that we can go the distance in the playoffs," he said. "We know we've just got to get there.” The Hawks know that anything less than a Stanley Cup will leave a bad taste in their mouths. If any team can win the coveted trophy, it's the Blackhawks.
