Hours after Scott Darling, 26, was recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League, while fellow netminder Antti Raanta was sent down, the Blackhawks made an important decision regarding his future with the team. The club announced Sunday night that they have signed goalie Scott Darling to a two-year extension. A sixth-round pick in 2007 by the Arizona Coyotes, Darling has a 2.27 goals-against average in 26 games in the AHL this season, along with a .927 save percentage. He has been even more impressive with the big club posting a 5-2 record with a 1.97 goals-against average and .937 save percentage in seven starts. He's stopped 208 of 222 shots. The terms of the deal weren't announced. Is this a good signing?
