Head coach Claude Julien will have a job with the Boston Bruins next season, but he is officially on the hot-seat. Newly named General Manager Don Sweeney was extremely cautious in regards to Julien's future with the team. Sweeney stated he was going to take some time to make the right decision in regards to whether he would remain behind the bench moving forward. Although there hasn't been an official announcement as of yet, it is believed the team will retain Julien, but will keep a close eye on him next season. Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports: Chatter around the league favors the Bruins retaining Claude Julien. However, management will keep Julien under watch. If things go sideways early next season, Julien will be out. Bruce Cassidy and Mike Milbury will be considered as replacements. The Bruins fell two points short of a playoff spot this season, and following seven consecutive postseason appearances under Julien, including a Stanley Cup in 2011 and a Final appearance in 2013. Their 96 points were a record for a team that ended up missing the playoffs. It is expected that the Bruins will get back to their winning ways at the start of next season. However, should the team stumble out of the gate, Julien may end up looking over his shoulder.
