Johansson has an opportunity to make a big impact with the devils
Since the departure of Kovalchuk, Many can argue that the Devils have had a hard time finding possible franchise players up front. It is now getting a lot better. Taylor Hall, Nico Hischier and now Marcus Johansson. Many would agree, Johansson is a very underrated forward who spent time in Washington caught in the shadows of Elite players like Ovechkin and Backstrom.
Think about it. Johansson has had 4 back to back 40 plus points seasons with the Capitals and many believe that he will have bigger role with a rebuilding team like the devils.
"I feel [New Jersey] is moving in the right direction. I don't mind sort of being an underdog. I think we have a great team and if we can put all the pieces together, I think we could surprise a lot of people. "I'm looking forward to that and being part of something that is built and becoming better every day and every year." Johansson speaking to NHL.com
