A well deserved nomination.

The National Hockey League has announced a replacement for injured Pittsburgh Penguins' star forward Evgeni Malkin.

A report from Columbus Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline has revealed that Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson has been rewarded with a much-deserved top to the All-Star Game.

Atkinson has been a huge part of the Blue Jackets strong season, putting up just under a point per game with 24 goals and 22 assists through 47 games played good enough to rank him among the top ten point producers across the league.

Many felt that Atkinson's omission had been a snub to begin with, so there likely won't be much objection to this announcement.
