Report: The Oilers have their eye on a D-man.

Along with trying to put a high profile coach under contract, the Oilers are also looking at improving their squad from the defensive corps up. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Peter Chiarelli and his staff are interested in 21-year-old defenseman Dean Kukan. Kukan is currently occupying Switzerland's blueline at the World Championships in the Czech Republic. Kukan began playing at a high level at the age of 16 and is reportedly a very strong skater. He is currently dealing with an injury, but is expected to make a full recovery. Chiarelli and Co. are very keen on him and he may be a member of the Oilers before long.
