With the New Jersey Devils 12 points out of a playoff spot with virtually no chance for redemption, it is looking more and more likely that Devils forward Jaromir Jagr will join his fifth team in four seasons. According to hockeystats.ca, New Jersey has a 0.258 percent chance of making the playoffs and with the trade deadline less than two weeks away, Jagr has become a bargaining chip. The ageless 43-year-old legend is preparing to be dealt and would like to be traded to an Eastern Conference contender. Jagr still has plenty of gas left in the tank as he has recorded 35 goals and 61 assists in 135 games with the Devils dating back to the beginning of last season. He can still be a force to be reckoned with if put it the right situation with the right supporting cast. Here are the three most likely destinations that Jagr will end up. - Pittsburgh Penguins The idea of bringing Jagr back to the team with which he began his historic NHL career has been on Penguins fans minds ever since Peter Laviolette let his intention to trade Jagr become public. Jagr enjoyed his best years as a Penguin and won two Stanley Cups, five Art Ross Trophies and a Hart Trophy with Pittsburgh. Despite laying claim to Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Chris Kunitz, David Perron, and Patric Hornqvist, adding Jagr to their top-six could be absolutely insane. A group like that could do plenty of damage come playoff time. We must also consider the fact that we have no idea how much longer Jagr will be able to play. The desire is there, but at his age, any season could be his last in the league. The idea of retiring with the team that drafted him could also be an enticing idea. - Washington Capitals The Washington Capitals are finally looking like the contender they were supposed to be for so many years. The team is thriving under head coach Barry Trotz and Washington is looking like a frontrunner in the Jaromir Jagr sweepstakes. The club's first line currently features star forwards Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, but the Caps' are weak at right winger. Rookie Andre Burakovsky occupies the right wing. Burakovsky has recorded nine goals and 12 assists in 43 games, while also finding himself down in the AHL and up in the press box at times. Washington is familiar territory for Jagr, who signed a huge deal with the Capitals back in 2001. With the Capitals in need of an upgrade on the wing, and considering who his line mates would be, Jagr might feel the itch to return to D.C. - Boston Bruins This would not be the first time the Bruins have acquired Jagr in the hopes of qualifying for the playoffs and going for a deep run. The Bruins sent a first-round pick to the Dallas Stars to acquire Jagr in 2013. Unfortunately for Boston, Jagr only managed two goals and seven assists in 11 regular-season games and was unable to find the back of the net in 22 playoff contests. The run ended with a loss in Game 6 of the Cup Final. Despite the fact that his first stint with the B's was unsuccessful, Boston is looking like the best fit for Jagr. Boston's first line of David Krejci and Milan Lucic has a glaring hole at right wing. The Bruins have tried to recycle different players at the position all year, without much success. An expiring contract like Jagr's would be an ideal fit, and it is likely Boston could once again call upon Jagr to help their stagnant offensive attack. A trade to Beantown could allow Jagr the opportunity to finally make good with the team. Jagr could be part of the remedy in regards to whatever is ailing the Bruins this season. Where should Jagr end up?
