As TSN Bob McKenzie reported on Twitter, Barrie Colts (OHL) right winger Andrei Svechnikov will miss height weeks of action, as he will undergo surgery after he broke his hand this week.

Svechnikov, drafted first overall in CHL Import Draft last summer, is considered a top prospect for next NHL’s draft. In 10 games this season with Barrie, he scored 10 goals and 14 points. Last season, he registered 58 points in 48 games with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.
