Report: Travis Dermott continues to impress in the AHL!

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Travis Dermott is having a strong second season of professional hockey! The 20-year old defenseman, drafted 34th overall by the Leafs in 2015, has scored two goals and added seven assists for nine total points in 22 games played so far in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies. The most impressive stats is his defensive differential, which is currently at plus ten!

Last season, in his first year as a professional, the Newmarket, Ontario native registered 24 points in 59 games played, with 60 penalty minutes and a defensive differential of plus nine. He added five points in 11 playoff games. 

At the junior level, Dermott produced really good numbers, as he registered 152 points in 226 games played (regular season and playoffs included), with an overall defensive differential of + 94 with the Erie Otters (OHL).

Dermott will turn 21 on December 22nd.
