One of the more intriguing storylines in the National Hockey League as we inch closer to American Thanksgiving is where future Hall of Fame forward Patrick Kane will continue his NHL Career.

For weeks now, the speculation has been that his choices have been narrowed down to but not 100% limited to the Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and Dallas Stars. But according to ESPN's Emily Kaplan, there are at least two other intriguing teams in the mix for Kane in the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning.

She wrote:

"I've reported before on interest from the Buffalo SabresDetroit Red Wings and Dallas Stars. Kane reportedly met with the Toronto Maple Leafs this week; he's been training in Toronto. Kane has a relationship with fellow American star Auston Matthews. Kane has previously talked about his desire to team up with Matthews at world competitions. Toronto would be a juicy fit, but the Leafs' top priority is shoring up the blue line. Other teams have told me they believe the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning are in the mix. It's hard for me to gauge how real the Carolina Hurricanes' interest is."

Given the fact that the Avalanche are once again playing without captain Gabriel Landeskog and have nearly $5 million in available cap space with which to work, the 2022 Stanley Cup champions could present an intriguing opportunity for Kane to continue his career. Meanwhile, the winners of the 2020 and 2021 Stanley Cup championships with a 3rd trip to the Final in 2022 have nearly $10 million available.

It's going to be an interesting next couple of days and weeks as we inch closer to Kane finalizing his decision, which has already included not returning to the New York Rangers.

Where do you believe that Kane will ultimately land?
