Report: Two NHL veterans hit the waiver wire

The NHL waiver wire has been busy during the NHL’s first week. With name players like Malcolm Subban, Calvin Pickard, Martin Marinicin and Brandon Pirri all hitting waivers this week, it’s no surprise that NHL GMs have been trying to make space for new additions. With a slow day in the NHL schedule today however, only two players have been placed on waivers:

It’s unlikely that either of these two journeymen players get claimed, but who knows? Maybe an NHL club in desperate need of some 3rd or 4th line depth will take a chance on one of the two? Stay tuned.
