Keystone Press

New York Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault confirmed that forward Paul Carey will be back in the lineup tonight to face the Ottawa Senators. Carey has been an healthy scratch for the last two games. David Desharnais will be scratched tonight.

Carey, 29, was drafted 135th by the Colorado Avalanche in 2007. He played 40 games in the NHL with the Avalanche, the Washington Capitals and the Rangers, registering two points. At the AHL level, the Boston, Massachusetts registered 185 points in 295 games played (regular season and playoffs included).

New York signed him as a free agent last summer.

He didn't register a point in eight games played with the Rangers this season.
