The big news on Tuesday was the St. Louis Blues signing of Vladimir Tarasenko to a long term deal worth a whopping $60 million dollars, but it turns out he could of had a lot more money. According to a report from Slava Malamud, a Russian reporter, Vladimir Tarasenko turned down an offer to become one of the highest paid players in all of hockey, and offer that would of had him sign in the KHL. Malamud revealed on Tuesday evening that SKA Saint-Petersburg had offered Tarasenko a monstrous $11 million dollars per season, that's $3.5 million dollars more per year than he eventually accepted from St. Louis. It looks like it may have been the correct move as reports came out yesterday of the level of dysfunction he would of had to put up with on SKA, a team who's head coach recently knocked out his own team's doctor.
