Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Kerby Rychel is not having the season Leafs management team was expecting from him. In 23 games played in the AHL with the Marlies so far, the 23-year old forward registered only ten points.

Rychel, drafted 19th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets, was acquired via trade in the summer of 2016 by the Maple Leafs for Scott Harrington and a fifth round pick in the 2017 draft.  He played 37 games in the NHL with the Jackets, registering 12 points.

At the AHL level, the Torrance, California native showed he can produce offensively, as he registered 133 points in 212 games played (regular season and playoffs included). Last year, he produced 52 points in 73 games played in his first season with the Toronto Marlies

What do you think, Leafs fans? Can he bounce back and start to produce like he used to?
