Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion was certainly expecting big things from Matt Duchene when he acquired him in a blockbuster, three team deal on November 6th. Duchene has only played five games with the Senators so far, and he hasn't done much. He hasn't register a point yet, and his defensive differential is at -6. He still got plenty of time to get used to his new team and new environment, but let's say that Dorion and head coach Guy Boucher must be scratching their heads.

Duchene, 26, was drafted third overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2009. In 591 games played in the AHL,  he registered 428 points. He added six points in eight playoff games.

The Sens acquired him from the Avalanche for Kyle TurrisAndrew HammondShane Bowers, a first and third round pick in the 2018 draft. Turris was later traded to the Nashville Predators for Vladislav KamenevSamuel Girard and a second round pick in the 2018 draft. In five games played with Nashville so far, Turris has five points.
